Project Highlights

Home, Sweet, Modern Home

In Azusa, CA Builder Brookfield Residential has crafted something special in the Citrus and Palm Plan 2. Three-stories of refined rustic, this townhouse is full of flexible and adaptive features. Think built-ins, like an extended bench seat with storage in the dining area for big family gatherings, and an architectural niche with a built-in desk and open shelving to help strike the perfect work/life balance. A mix of crisp, polished pieces with refined rustics and woven accents create a distinct feeling of warmth, while the grey wood-like tiling lends a cool contrast to the soft honey hues. Inspired by the beauty of nature, the home’s collection of neutral tones fashion a light color scheme, leaving every square foot feeling wonderfully bright and open.

Nature Meets Modern Man at Reverie Plan 1

This clean and modern farmhouse in Rancho Mission Viejo by William Lyon Homes lends a chic, yet inviting atmosphere. Chameleon Design showcases our take on a purely natural palette by featuring varying shades of ebony, natural wood textures, and creamy whites. This space is unique in that its light tones and ample space make the home feel open, while charcoal accents like drapery, area rugs, and statement seating anchor it together. This home’s decidedly masculine aesthetic wouldn’t be complete without featuring an ode to the great outdoors. Wood ceilings in the entryway create a sense of arrival, while a tree root coffee table and toasty fire pit, seen through three sets of doors, welcome family and friends to gather both inside and out.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT – KADENCE AT CENTENNIAL PLAN 3

Hacienda Sunrise

Designed by Chameleon Design, Kadence at Centennial for Pardee Homes in Menifee is decked with a lavishly contemporary touch and a hint of hacienda flare. Endless natural light lends a spotlight to every special detail from, bold colors and textured accents to an eclectic combination of rustic and modern furnishings. To keep the space feeling fresh and open, feature a wood paneled accent wall to add intrigue. The finishing touch? A glass-walled room with patterned tile, for an unforgettably fun, yet sophisticated feel.

Orange You Glad

Brought to life by Chameleon Design, this vibrant Trumark home in Ontario is layered with freshly squeezed style—but not without counterbalance. Every dash of magenta and mango is mellowed by classic black touches, whether it be a curtain rod, picture frame, coffee table or lamp. And that’s exactly the appeal—dashes of charcoal charm enliven this space from floor to ceiling by bringing out the warmth and beauty around them. Where there’s a statement, whether it’s brights or whites, you can ensure there’s a matte black accent to make it pop or reel it back in. One of the most markedly modern features of this homey space is the use of crisp black tiling in the bathroom and kitchen, creating two-toned contrast against classic, white cabinetry. Black and white together create a striking color composition that can be used anywhere in the home, conveying earthy and upscale at the same time.

Mellow Marigold

Soothing gray and earthy beige hues at Hideaway St. Cloud by William Lyon Homes are animated with lighthearted marigold accents, courtesy of our team at Chameleon Design. This unique aesthetic is distinguished by a soothing array of art, textiles and playful accents to evoke feelings of warmth and comfort. Rich with textural touches like tassels, knit throws, and woven rugs, this spacious abode truly feels like home. Stylishly smooth gray hardwoods ground this aesthetic, while pops of honey and marigold contrast to create an organic, yet contemporary atmosphere. Multi-dimensional golden artwork and accents set the tone for a pleasing showcase of sunny shades, evoking imagery of sunrise against a sandy shore.

A Green Slate

Brought to life by our team at Chameleon design, Citrus and Palm’s Sales Offices embrace a naturally soothing aesthetic, with luscious pops of coral and orange, and sea-inspired hues of turquoise and green. Rich with varied textures displayed by sculptural plant details, an array of correlating art pieces, textiles and dramatic light fixtures, the buyer is instantly transported to a tranquil seaside escape and a desert oasis all rolled into one.

Project Highlight: Center House, Plan 3, Ontario, CA

Be in the Center of It All

Trumark Homes engaged Chameleon Design to create a vision of modern living at Center House, part of a master-planned community in Ontario catering to first-time buyers For a fresh take, we led with a color palette as crisp as citrus and as soothing as a Zen retreat. Grey-hued cabinets compliment stone-look tile in medium taupe to infuse this model home with natural beauty while refreshing punches of lime and yellow contrast wisely against a background of white and earthy hues. We even brought the outdoors in by adorning living spaces with wallpaper featuring picked-from-nature patterns.

Project Highlight: Reverie, Plan 3, Rancho Mission Viejo, CA

It’s not a dream! Chameleon Design worked with William Lyon Homes to bring Reverie to life for homeowners drawn to comfortable, spacious living in Rancho Mission Viejo. We were inspired by Reverie’s farmhouse architecture and carried the style indoors.  To curate the right lived-in vibe, we mixed elements from traditional farmhouse as well as coastal design – including distressed furniture, a soothing palette of earthy neutrals and washed-and-worn blues, and natural materials – to convey comfortable casualness.

DESIGNING A CALIFORNIA ORIGINAL

Riverstone — Madera County’s newest and biggest master-planned community — arrived in January 2017, quickly embracing home-buying families who gravitated toward the original way of life possible in this 2,000-acre Central California enclave just 48 miles away from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. With innovative homes, a sustainable water supply and a land plan protecting the project’s natural resources, Riverstone is ushering in a new level of Valley life dedicated to the cultivation of happy, healthy families. At build-out, the community will offer eight residential districts with 6,578 homes in walkable neighborhoods, parks, trails and open space, multiple community clubhouses, a dog park, a community farm, historic olive and citrus groves, commercial and mixed-use space, and on-site schools.

We’re still reeling from #TheNationals earlier this month! Our Riverstone Welcome Center earned us a Silver award and we took home the Gold award for Best Master-Planned Community along with builder Riverstone Development LLC, marketing director Nick Bruno, ad agency InterCommunications, landscape designer Terry Broussard of Broussard & Associations and architect WHA.

Given the opportunity to design the welcome center and community clubhouse, Chameleon Design borrowed cues from the local region to attract homebuyers to an activities-rich lifestyle. The team prioritized cutting-edge design and technology for the welcome center, selecting modern furnishings and a wide array of exhibits and materials. A glass display touts the community’s high points in a fresh way, while a wall-mounted screen reveals rotating lifestyle and landscape images, while a tabletop interactive touch screen lets visitors swipe their way to community specifics, including details on the upcoming residential districts. Bikes, kayaks and other adventure gear are whimsical reminders of the outdoor fun at the community. The welcome center, just like the community it represents, is a unique place — one alive with family fun, camaraderie and a wholesome agrarian spirit.

Intent on bringing this spirit to life at the community clubhouse, Chameleon Design created The Lodge. Designed to meet the needs of active families, the innovative clubhouse offers an array of in-demand amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center with advanced equipment, a great room and flexible gathering places with Wi-Fi, a demonstration kitchen, and even a gear barn outfitted with essentials homeowners might need for on- and off-site adventures. Just outside The Lodge, residents enjoy a resort-style pool and spa with poolside cabanas, a children’s pool, an outdoor bar with fire pit conversation areas and a community garden. The venue’s differentiating architectural vernacular — what we call deconstructed agrarian industrialism — combines the rusticity of farm with the magnificence of the national park lodges of yesteryear. It features exposed beams, grand windows, and authentic and enduring building materials, such as Sierra Nevada granite and tin roofs that have 100-year lifespans.
