Petal Talk: Romantic Accents and Florals
As we dive into the month of valentines, chocolates, and love, we’re embracing feminine interiors with florals. Of course, in a time where bringing the outdoors in is all the rage, we can’t help but love adding flowery accents in unique ways. We never discount how a feature wall with a botanical pattern can dress up a space and make the entire room shine. Floral accents can be as large as patterned wallpaper throughout a powder bath or as small as a few art pieces above a headboard. And, of course, the pattern can either be small and delicate, or colossal patterned blooms—both have a very different effect. Florals can significantly soften up a space, particularly when they are paired next to a more bold, masculine color or pattern. Aside from simply being a beautiful touch, this design element can bring balance to a space. While Valentine’s Day may be all about pink and red, sometimes using florals in a simple black and white color scheme can keep a busy pattern from being too overwhelming.
