Trending: We Admire Wire

Forget about overwrought patio furniture or quaint bed frames, the trend toward wire furniture brings modernity to any room or space. The look mixes well with wood, as seen in this dining table and coffee table, and accents like these ottomans and storage baskets add scriptural artistry to otherwise functional pieces. Even lighting gets wired this year, a big trend that takes up little space – a perfect for fans of minimalism.

Trending: Ceramics Are Dynamic

Ceramic accessories are affordable, quirky and oh-so-fun to style. You’ll covet the latest crop of ceramics found in modern collections of vases and love how hanging ceramic pots spotlight greenery. We believe the revival of ceramics coincides with consumers’ desires to personalize living spaces with accessories that spur organic connections to nature – a trend found in ceramics with earthy, artisanal finishes just perfect for spotlighting a posy or two.

Invite the Great Outdoors into Your Home

In announcing its color of the year, Pantone lauded Greenery for its “vitality of nature and new beginnings.” We recommend refreshing tired surroundings or calming busy interiors by bringing the soft, desaturated tone into your environment. Greenery answers the call for simplicity and evokes the grounding of nature, making it the ideal color to redefine a room. Almost every brand of paint incorporates a color like Greenery into its palette this year. Some of our other favorite ways to introduce Greenery into your environment include throws, furniture and appliances.

#Trending // Throw Pillows

Decor trends come and go, but one of the easiest ways to stay up-to-date on all things interior design related is to update your selection of throw pillows. They’re easy to swap and store, and the right ones can instantly revitalize a space. We love using throw pillows in a variety of patterns and colors to a sofa or bed to add interest and color to a room.

The classic coffee table is big enough for everyone, extra storage and it’s easy to clean. Now that is family friendly.

We think this coffee table pulls the room together, it provides extra storage, more room for decoration and a flat space for kids to do homework on.

Round tables are great if you have little ones running around, no sharp edges! Plus this one has additional space underneath for storage.

This type of coffee table is good for a big family or for families with a lot of friends, it can be one or multiple tables for homework, eating spaces or whatever you need.

Using a unique material adds flare but it also has a softer texture for any kids who might bump into it.

Home Design Trend // Leaf Prints

Who doesn’t love feeling like they are on a tropical island? This trend will have you thinking you’re sipping on a pina colada in no time. Large leafy prints, think ferns, palms and banana leafs are growing wild. For this trend, scale is key. But, if you aren’t ready to commit to a bold gesture like wallpaper, you can still get the same effect by trading out some throw pillows or cushions or framing and hanging a large print.

Home Design Trend // Earthy Color Tones

After some time spent in the zone of dark and moody hues, the trending color palette is now leaning towards softer, earthy spring tones. The colors are warm and natural and resemble earth elements. Think pale pinks, nudes, tans, terra cotta, and a light moss green. These colors work as a perfect contrast to the moody colors that have been so popular for walls lately, so you can keep those dark walls while experimenting with this fun new color trend. We’ve compiled some of our favorite room inspiration and pieces below:

Home Design Trends // Mixed Metals

We love using mixed metals to accessorize a room. This trick can instantly add dimension and create a collected, yet cohesive, feel. Something to keep in mind is to aim to stay within the same tone, warm vs. cool, for example. This will assure the metals compliment one another. Here are some of our favorite mixed metal photos:
